Abbey Road Studios, established in November 1931, is a music recording studio at 3 Abbey Road in St John's Wood, London. The Beatles used the studio, particularly Studio Two, for many of their innovative recordings throughout the 1960s. Now Grade II listed, the studio is protected from major alterations and is owned by Universal Music Group's subsidiary Virgin Records.
