A Neo-Palladian style villa completed in 1729 and designed by Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington, featuring gardens created by William Kent. The house, now maintained by English Heritage, is a Grade I listed building in Chiswick, west London.
The Palladian villa is architecturally beautiful, and the gardens with their open layout are a draw. Older children (10+) engage with the design. The gardens are more interesting than the interior for younger kids. Entry is free to the grounds; the house requires a ticket.
