About

HMS Belfast is a Town-class light cruiser built for the Royal Navy in 1938 that saw action during the Second World War and Korean War. Now permanently moored on the River Thames near Tower Bridge, it operates as a museum ship run by the Imperial War Museum.

The warship on the Thames is impressive from outside and engaging to explore from within for children aged 6+. Climbing between decks, seeing crew quarters and gun turrets fascinates young visitors. Can take 1.5-2 hours. Limited wheelchair access (steep stairs between decks).
