About

The Museum of the Home, formerly the Geffrye Museum, is located in 18th-century Grade I-listed former almshouses on Kingsland Road in Hoxton. It explores home life from 1600 to the present day with period room displays, diverse lived experiences, and examines psychological relationships people have with home. It reopened in summer 2021 after extensive refurbishment with 80 per cent more exhibition space and features basement galleries, a cafe, learning pavilion, libraries, events spaces, and replanted gardens.
