About

Myddelton House is a Regency villa from 1819 in Enfield with an 8-acre garden developed over several centuries, notably by renowned plantsman Edward Augustus Bowles in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The gardens are now regularly open to the public and are Grade II listed.

The early 20th-century house and gardens in Waltham Cross are pleasant but modest. Children aged 6+ can explore the rooms and gardens. The famous rock garden is the main draw for plant enthusiasts. Limited opening requires planning. Best for older children or gardening-interested families.
