Founded in 1759, Kew Gardens is a botanic garden in southwest London comprising 132 hectares of gardens and glasshouses. It houses the largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world, including an herbarium with over 8.5 million specimens and a library containing over 750,000 volumes.
