About
The Postal Museum is a postal museum run by the Postal Heritage Trust that opened in Central London in 2017, having originated as The British Postal Museum & Archive in 2004.
The underground Mail Rail ride is unique—you descend in an actual mail train carriage through tunnels. Children aged 5+ enjoy the novelty and the subterranean setting. The rest of the postal history is less engaging for younger visitors but interesting for older children and train enthusiasts.
