About
Apsley House is the London residence of the Dukes of Wellington, a Grade I listed neoclassical townhouse designed by Robert Adam in the 1770s. Now open to the public as a museum, it displays the Wellington Collection of paintings, artworks, and memorabilia related to the 1st Duke's life and career.
The Wellington Museum is small and the artwork collection is strong. Children aged 8+ with interest in Napoleonic history or grand townhouses may engage. Not a priority for younger visitors. The location opposite Green Park adds value if you're already there.
