The Battle of Britain Monument on Victoria Embankment overlooking the River Thames commemorates those who participated in the Battle of Britain during the Second World War. Unveiled in 2005, it features a 25-metre granite structure with bronze relief sculptures depicting scenes from the battle and bronze plaques listing 2,937 pilots and aircrew from 14 countries who fought on the Allied side.
