About
The Banqueting House on Whitehall is a Grade I listed building designed by Inigo Jones and completed in 1622 as the first structure in England built in the classical Palladian architectural style. The building features interior ceiling paintings by Peter Paul Rubens added in the 1630s. It is now a national monument open to the public and cared for by Historic Royal Palaces.
