About
The National Army Museum in Chelsea is the national home of the history and heritage of the Army, established by Royal Charter in 1960. Through permanent galleries, special exhibitions, and collections, it explores how soldiers have shaped the world and lives from the British Civil Wars to the present. It preserves items related to the British Army and Commonwealth Forces, including pre-independence history of the East India Company Army and other colonial units. Admission is free and it is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5:30pm.
