About
Established in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, the Chelsea Physic Garden is one of Britain's oldest botanical gardens, featuring a rock garden devoted to alpine and Mediterranean plants, and notable specimens including Britain's largest fruiting olive tree.
The historic medicinal garden established 1673 is pleasant and unusual. Children aged 6+ enjoy the themed garden areas and river-side location. Smaller than Kew but more intimate. Café available. Limited opening hours (Mar-late autumn) requires planning. Combine with Chelsea riverside walk.
